Our Story

Sheppard and Juliana became an item in August of 2024. From day one they were inseparable and quickly knew they were “the one” for each other. Fast forward to Fall of 2025 after being engaged for close to 6 months, they had the idea to start a business. Juliana proposed the idea of starting a coffee shop, which was something Sheppard had always dreamed of thanks to his many years working in various specialty cafés.

As this idea evolved and doing everything they could to keep the upcoming wedding on a modest budget, a full-blown café seemed a little daunting. So they brainstormed a bit and thought, “what if we start a coffee cart that we grow into a café??”. Not long after that, Fresh Press was in motion.

Juliana started locking in the business details while Sheppard began plans for the cart build as well as the equipment needed for operation. After months of planning, construction, ordering, and sharing our new business plans with friends and family, the cart was finally ready to roll!
